Blessings

I just have to quickly post how grateful I am for the blessings in my life. I realized tonight that no matter what trials I may face I am so blessed. I have an incredible family who supports and loves me and is seriously the best thing in my life, I have a strong testimony of the Gospel, I am lucky enough to be going to school to achieve my dream (as much as I just LOVE studying daily) (sarcastic), and I am happy! I find out daily the trials that those around me are facing and my heart aches for them. I realize some trials we bring upon ourselves but so many are out of our control and we are forced to rely on faith and the strength of those around us. During these times I count my blessings. So thanks everyone for the blessings you are in my life. I am grateful for you and appreciate you. I realize trials will come and go for all of us.....but for now (and I hesitate to say this since I don't want to jinx it.....I am grateful for the good times.

Finals week

Just got news that I received one A so far in my classes!!!!! yeah!!! Just thought I would post for those of you who know how many hours I have been putting in to studying.....and it's an "A" not an "A-" trust me I have killed for this "A"!!!!!! SO happy!!!!! Two more finals to go and only 3 days to do it!!! Then I get to relax for 7 days until my next class starts! FUN huh?!

Easter 2009

This easter we spent the day at mom's. Jo, Marco, Abby, Emily and Matt were able to come up too! Mom made a great ham dinner and we had lots of fun hunting for eggs and baskets. Here are a few pictures!

Vacuums

Is a vacuum for cleaning or is cleaning for a vacuum? I spent about and hour cleaning my vacuum! What the heck? I've only had it for a month and already it's so dirty that it started acting up! Oh the joys of a rental house with wonderfully clean carpets! Cleaning a vacuum is a disgusting job! But it is so nice when it's done! p.s. this isn't my vacuum....but looks just like it! Although mine is soooo clean now!

Love this show!

Friday night lights is the best show. Everytime I watch it I just want to be a part of this down to earth community of Dillon Texas. I want a marriage like the Taylors, I want the excitement of a high school relationship, I want to be back on the football field every weekend night cheering! Tonight was the season finale....:( If you have never seen this show go rent the season dvds. It's worth it!

Monday to do's:

~taxes (yes I realize it's the 6th and they are due in less than 10 days, thank goodness for Turbo tax.)
~finish 2 online classes (yikes)
~not blog....oops
~go to class
~organize files and clear out junk drawer
~clean house
~eat....oops haven't even gotten there yet and it's almost 5pm
~balance check book/ pay bills
~prepare for end of the semester finals
~figure out where I'm going to spend the next 2 years of my life!!!
Ahhh...that's better...just had to quickly spit out a list of all my to do's so that I could get them off my mind

Grandpa Jack

Today is my grandpa Jack's birthday. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of him and the influence he has had on my life. Today I had the opportunity to go to General Conference, and on the way up there Joanna and I reminisced about Grandpa. My grandpa Jack is the kind of man that left an impression on everyone he met. It still amazes me how many random people I meet in my life that knew him and remember him. I miss him everyday but it is so comforting to know that we are an eternal family and I will see him again.
I am so grateful for the lessons he taught me about family, church and the importance of being faithful. Many remember my grandpa as a rough and tough kind of guy, but I was lucky enough to see a different side of him, he was loving to me and I am forever grateful for that memory. I cannot think of a better way to remember grandpa today than to go to conference. I am so grateful for his testimony of the gospel and the effect it has had on me throughout my life. Happy Birthday grandpa. Love you!
